  • ARRRGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just had a half a page blog started and I my laptop froze up and shut down the net. WTF??

    Let's try this again.

It seems it's about every 3 months when I get the urge to update. I'm glad that alot of you are still doing your thing and doing the daily/weekly/more than me updates.  It's amazing how long it's been since I started.  Some of you now have children, and some of you now have MORE children (Glorycato and Rbearclaw).

So what's new with me? Working and living, that's bout it.  Been doing an 84 round trip drive to work for the past year. It's not so bad since I love my car and the gas prices have come down.  Didn't have to do it in the snow as I have a local office just 5 minutes away and can remote access my computer. So that's a plus.

Just finished a much needed mini vacation of a 4 day weekend.

I turned 41 a few weeks back. yipeeeeeee lol

After a few years of the harley running like shit, they finally figured out what the problem might be. Used to chug like a mofo at 65mph so didn't do any runs last year with the H.O.G. group (sorry and missed yaz Roadking!) so just did some touring on our own.  Did some beautiful trips through Maine and New Hampshire last year. But just got it back on Saturday after getting a new carborator (had a rebuilt one and still didn't correct it) and now it runs GREAT! Not bad for a 27 year old bike I must add. So did a lil bit of riding on Memorial Day. Ooooh the smell of charcoal grill and burgers and dogs..and fresh cut grass. I absolutely love riding this time of year. And hope to hit some charity runs this summer too.

Hubby crashed his caddy this past winter cuz some doofus didn't feel the need to clean off the roof of their mini van.  Car just didn't like his quick swerve to avoid it and kept swerving towards the jersey barrier. Crashed into that, blew out his tire, crossed back from left lane to slow lane and got rearended by a tractor (sans the trailer). Totalled that puppy.  He wasn't hurt at all thank God and got himself a new(er) car. haha copy cat got himself a grand prix too, but his is the GXP. Enjoys that car for sure.

Anyway. that's enough bout me for now till I have something more interesting. What I'd really like to do is invite you (all my subscribers-amazing that I still have any hehe) to come chat with me. I am a mod/admin-graphics technician at a really cool chat room. It's unlike any chat room you've ever been too, and we are proud of it.

It's a FAMILY chat room. Yes, you read that right. It's family oriented. Meaning no abusive language, no unwanted advances (although sometimes that's can be fun ), and everyone treats each other with respect. Some of the greatest bunch of people I have met in the 6 years I've been on the chat scene (after some of you that I'm glad I have met, just haven't kept in touch that well with). So please help us with growing our chat room to be one of the best on the net. We got music, we got videos, we got chatter poems and lots of pictures. We are even getting a contract with Sony so we can use one of their players for music. How cool is that. And the owner will be building his own server, so there's no telling what we will have next. (Cndfriend-even hoping to have a Jammie day-I'll never forget that..it was a fun thing to do here).

So please come and at least pay me a visit?

Where you will meet a great group of people....and of course..I'm there.

    • Some business' slowed down, laid alot of people off.
    • Client giving back business and now need 70 people by April 1st.

    Home

    • Daughter got engaged. :) wants a $10,000 wedding. I had to cringe!
    • She is renting a 3 bedroom house from a relative for $500 bucks a month. I had to smile.
    • She just got a job at Spencer's. Gotta go yippeeee. Discount on cool stuff.
    • New couch and entertainment center for last year's birthday. Took 7 months to decide on what I wanted.
    • Painted the living room
    • New 52" tv to play guitar hero on!
    • Speaking of Guitar hero (glorycato!) I'm totally addicted and have almost every one. I'm a ROCKSTAR! Too bad I can't really get past medium. Damn stubby fingers.
    • Hubby crashed the caddy. He's ok but car wasn't. he got one just like mine.
    • Ferrets are doing well. A lil greyer now, but healthy.

    Fun

    • Did some serious motorcyling last year. Up to Maine, NH and all around MA. My butt had some moments of "when we gonna get home?" but overall I loved it. will post pics soon!

  • another attempt...

Hello fellow Xangans. Been another long year and just couldn't seem to get back in the swing of blogging again after my last feeble attempt.

Well, this is a NEW year and I hope to come back and reconnect with those that are still actively blogging here.

    before I get into anything.....

Happy New Year and I hope you had a Merry Christmas or whatever holiday it is that you celebrate.

I'm not one much for resolutions, so I don't think I'm going to make one, but does anyone out there have a resolution they are going to try to stick with? Other than the "dieting, quit smoking" kind. Something more meaningful perhaps.

I guess my resolution has already been made by me coming here. Jan. 1st, 2009. Off to a good start :)

  • I'm gonna need some serious tutorial on how to use xanga again...

I have no idea what I am doing. What are the credits for? Navigating is almost as bad as facebook. I hope I get the hang of this.

So..I thought I'd be blogging again, but as usual, I slacked off. I have a new laptop so there is no excuse for me anymore. I will have to do some serious reading in order to catch up with all of you. One thing I am amazed at...my subcriber numbers didn't go down. I'm glad you've stuck it out through my massive dry spell and hopefully I will get that Xanga loving feeling again.

So what's new with me in the past year or so. Let's see...

Still working in the same company. 11 1/2 years now. They moved the office a year ago to five minutes (actually timed it) from my house. It was AWESOME. I could go home and play guitar hero for a whole 50 minutes!!!

Unfortunately, they opened another office and as of 2 months ago I have had to travel 84 miles round trip to get to work. With the gas prices as they are, I'm getting killed in the pocket. Have been doing the job search thing and after submitting one resume online I got a hit. From Monster.com. I would LOVE to work for them. They have a video on their site and it shows they are a progressive company who looks like they know how to enjoy themselves. Saw pool tables in the break room. How sweet is that? Keep your fingers crossed.

Also due to the drive I needed to get a new car. This is my new baby!!!! 2004 Gran Prix GTP..supercharged!!! 84 miles round trip..who gives a shit. hehehe Has a H.U.D. (heads up display) that shows my speed and radio station, temp and direction digitally reflected on the windshield. I feel like a pilot. :)

    my new car

Just got back from vacation in the Catskill mountains. When you think of the catskills you might think of the old time Jewish hotel/resorts. This one was an Italian resort. Was loads of fun. I am now the bocce queen. lol and of course, I have to display this for GloryCato....I can't seem to leave home without it.. hehe

If you want to check out my skills..as lame as they are compared to most..

    I don't have many pictures on here..so I'm grasping.

My ferrets are still around. Frisky as ever and still always getting into something. I bought a new lamp and didn't realize that Rascal was scratching at the foam packing. 5 minutes later I check him out and he was COVERED with little foam balls. I was dying. here's a couple pics I got.

Other than the usual, life hasn't had too many changes. The Rifferkid is still living at her boyfriend's house, but she may be looking for an apartment. We painted her room last August thinking she was coming back (she wanted it painted) and then she changed her mind. I can tell you, if I had know I definitely wouldn't have let her choose the colors she did. Pink and Yellow!! It really doesn't look half bad (pink on bottom/pale yellow for top half), but not really my choice. I am not really that ambitious to change it at this point. I don't have a  pic on this computer, so I will post later.

Well, I hope I haven't bored ya too much. But I did want to write something.

I hope you all are happy and healthy..and I WILL be working my way to you!

  • keep forgetting

Ok..I think I just passed another Xanga-Anniversary. Should be about 4 years now. How the time flies when you get old...er.   ::::EDIT:::Xanga anniversary is Monday!!!

Winter has been a drag and I am anxiously waiting for the warm weather to come. Miss riding with my HOG brothers and sisters and planning to do some serious traveling in the state of Maine this summer. Woot!

Work is still kickin ass. I have guesstimated that I have trained over 300 people last year and must already be up to at least 30-40 for this quarter alone.

As much as I like what I'm doing..I don't really care for upper managements business philosophy. they just want the bodies and aren't scanning for quality. I haven't even finished training one fuck'n group and they hire another group in the middle. They get to sit around and get paid for 2 days for doing nothing. Dolts!

    Ok..that's enough of that.

I am still a Burnout Takedown (ps2) freak, but last summer discovered GUITAR HERO!! I have all 4 of them and am totally and sickiningly ADDICTED. I wish I could bring it to work. Actually..I come home for my lunch hour since only work 5 min away and take out the ferrets and jam for 45 min.

Glorycato..I think of you guys when I play at times and how you used to post how fun it was. You were so right!

I hope everyone has had a good winter, didn't put on too much weight hibernating (if that's what ya do) and are ready for SPRING!!! I know I am!
